Eudora Welty House The Welty House Museum
Eudora Welty and the Poetics of the Body (eds. Geraldine Chouard and Daniel Pitavy-Souques) is now available from the Presses de Universitaires de Rennes.
Mississippi Department of Archives and History [Jackson, MS]
MDAH houses the Eudora Welty Collection. Operating hours and a reference request link may be found under Archives and Library at the site. MDAH also has information about Eudora Welty's home state. Here you will be able to find information on Mississippi state archives, libraries, the museums and historic sites, preservation programs, and more. Suzanne Marrs has written a Guide to the Welty Collection at the Archives that is widely available.
In August 2006, a new collection of the earliest video footage to date of Eudora Welty was given to the Department of Archives and History. The 16mm film was shot in Jackson in 1974-5 as part of the PBS series “The Writer in America.” The reels, containing more than five hours of raw footage, had been in storage at the National Endowment for the Arts in Washington, D.C. Only a few minutes of the film have been seen by the public. Check the MDAH website for more information.

Eudora Welty Writers Symposium [Mississippi University for Women]
The Eudora Welty Writers' Symposium writes about their site, "each October the Humanities Division sponsors the Eudora Welty Writers' Symposium to honor one of MUW's most famous alums. A diverse group of Southern writers and scholars are invited to present their work. One highlight of the symposium is the announcement of the Eudora Welty Prize for an unpublished book of scholarship on women's studies, Southern studies, or modern letters." There are links of past programs along with a history and photos page.
Mississippi Writers Page
The Mississippi Writers Page "brings together in one place a wide assortment of information about Mississippi's plethora of literary artists." The focus on Eudora Welty includes information about her early days where she was sheltered and protected in her Southern family and how she came to write. There is information about the various stories, novels and other work that she created along with commentary about her words and life.
Eudora Welty Newsletter
The Eudora Welty Newsletter was created to be a "tool of scholarship, information, and homage to one of America's most beloved writers, Eudora Welty." The newsletter also includes "bibliographic references to her works, textual analyses, news and queries about Eudora Welty and her works, and checklists of scholarship."
